This week my fashion valentine is my dear friend Ophelia. I really love her aesthetic, even in different styles you can still see the inspiration of a creepy young girl from the past. I find her really creative and now she has made a music album that reflects her fashion aesthetic, you can listen to it here. And for more of her outfits follow her on tumblr.
I think she has perfectly mastered old school lolita. I think her approach of it makes it really look like the old street snaps from Harajuku bridge sundays. The hairstyling is perfect for it, the style of photos suits it perfectly. I feel like she nails the imperfect qualities that lolita fashion had from the start of the style. Now most outfits look more cookie cutter. She rocks gothic but also looks super pretty in her more classic and sweet outfits.
She also does outfits that are more on the straight out ghostly creepy. To the left we see her as a creepy schoolgirl with shironuri, Ophelia looks really cute but there is still something unsettling about it in the best of ways. I also really love her guro lolita to the right above. Its bloody but not too much. A lot of lolitas go overboard with guro lolita but this looks really pretty.
Ophelia also has her more soft girly outfits that are just lovely. As I said before I really love her aesthetic and can't wait to see more outfits from her. I hope we can meet again one day.
