Alice and the Pirates: Starry Moonlight Night Sirene

Alice and the Pirates is also to release a marine print, this one featuring a beautiful Siren! I think this print is really lovely though the only cut I like is the high waist OP, the other cuts feel a bit off on the proportions. As always from btssb and aatp the print is really detailed, which kinda makes a lot of it only visible up close.

Angelic Pretty: Dolly Cat

Still not released yet is Dolly Cat! Of all the prints from Angelic Pretty's sweet spring/summer collection this might be the sweetest! With how well all the dresses have been selling it seems that sweet Lolita is not at all dead. My favorite detail on these dresses is the contrasting ribbons, can't wait to see the other colorways! (Also kittens dude, kittens.)

Angelic Pretty release: Milky Berry Princess

This dress will be coming out this upcoming weekend! At the rate Angelic Pretty's sweet prints have been selling this year so far, its safe to say stay up late and hurry up if you a piece of it. We'll see if people got enough of berries from last print or maybe more people will be jumping on it because they missed out on Cherry Marguerite.

Lolita Meet-up: Sven Harry's art museum

Yesterday we had an awesome meet-up at Sven Harry's museum! We went around looking at awesome art and after that we had some tea at a close by cafe called Ritorno! Also later some of us had sushi at my favorite sushi place sushi yama. 

The theme was 'witches' but I really did not have anything to go with the theme and ended up wearing Promenade de Paris. 

To the left here is Bella, she really went for the theme and looked amazing in a skirt that she made herself. Also on the Right we have Melwin who wore a really cute old school Lolita outfit, I'm so jelly of the dress he is wearing.

Angelic Pretty: Mirage Castle

I think Mirage Castle looks absolutely stunning, this cut is just amazing. Honestly If I had to guess who made this print without knowing I would of probably thought it was baby or aatp. Can't wait to see which other colorways it will come in, I think it can look really different depending on the color. 

Also high hopes are on Angelic Pretty to release the men's wear also, but I think it might just of been made for the show. Though it would be amazing if they started doing more boy style clothing! This look is surprisingly ega rather than ouji.

Royal Princess Alice: new print

Lolita bran Royal Princess Alice just announced this new print on their twitter. I don't know to much about this brand but I think this print looks super cute! It looks like an underwater castle, the dreamy pastel colors look really cute. The dress construction looks simple but good! I would totally consider getting this!

Angelic Pretty fashion show: Cherry Marguerite

More clearer picture from Angelic Pretty's fashion show were posted since all prints have been pretty much revealed! I think the two girls wearing Cherry Marguerite look super cute! This really does make the dress look a lot better! Though I think the little collar to the OP just looks weird, doesn't need it at all! The print looks super cute, looking forward to gingham blouses and berry accessories!

Angelic Pretty have released quite a few prints with berry themes and I'm going to give you some history on them! Hope you enjoy it. See this as a way to learn some print names also.

Strawberry Princess 

released: 2003

Going back to the old school before custom prints were a big thing in lolita. The simple patern reminds me of drained cherry, but I really miss this typ of detailed OP. This dress is perfect for a country lolita coord going out for a nice picnic.

Sweet Berry

The name of this dress is unsure as Angelic Pretty released an other dress with the same name a year later. I think that since prints were not as big back then the names were not really that important to them either.

A few years later Angelic Pretty releases an other simple berry print. I like the earlier one more but this is also super cute. Prints were still not a big deal at this point. Solid colors were the thing in sweet lolita.

Ichigo Millfeuille

I really love this print and I think the mint colorway actually looks good, red and mint can be hard to coord. This dress can often be found for pretty cheap.

This dress looks like a mess on a small picture but it has a lovely gingham print with rows of strawberries. I own this dress myself and I love it! It really has a old school lolita feel and the print looks great more up close!

This dress has the genius idea to mix lovely berries with really cute bunnies and the result is great! Boarder prints start to get more common and this is a good example of it, it's at this point where there started to be more focus on the print than on the dress details.

Angelic Pretty continue to consistently produce berry prints every year. This time an other boarder print, I really love the look of this one. around 2010 is when OTT sweet lolita was really huge!

Also not yet released but really anticipated! I think all their prints have been really on point this year so far, cant wait to see coords with all these berry prints!

Angelic Pretty will be releasing the anticipated Cherry Marguerite this weekend, it will be interesting to see how quickly it sells out! My favorite this time is the red OP, I honestly don't like the other colorways that much but it will be interesting to see how people will coord them! Lolita Lesson #3: Sweet Lolita

Sweet Lolita is one of the three main Lolita styles (the other being Gothic and Classic). It is charecterized by being the sugary cute princess style of Lolita. Pastel colors are the most common, such as pink, sax, mint, lavender and yellow. But the color does not make the style and there is also a lot of dresses released in colorways that are black, brown and red. The theme and styling is a better tell than the colors. Overall a Sweet Lolita's look should be like a princess or/and doll. Prints are very popular in Sweet Lolita and popular themes include but are not limited to: carousel horses, candy, berries, chocolate, cake, toys and stars. The make-up should be cute and false lashes and circle lenses are very popular. Pastel wigs used to be really popular but having your own hair is gaining popularity. 

The biggest Sweet Lolita brands are Angelic Pretty, Baby the Stars Shine Bright and Metamorphose. They all have a distinct style and a lot of girls have a favorite that the stick to. A notable Sweet Lolita model is Misako Aoki who is one of the people organizing the Kawaii Ambassador initiative.

Angelic Pretty: Melty Berry Princess

Word on the lolita groups is that Melty Berry Princess will be released early to mid April, so get your wallet ready berry lovers! I really love the color of the red one above but it seems like the strawberries kinda disappear on the red background so I would probably go for the white colorway. I'm also kinda skeptical as to how the lavender colorway will look, but I guess only time will tell!

I will attend Hellocon!

I just wanted to tell you all that I will be attending Hellocon! Hellocon is a lolita convention in Helsinki, they have a bunch of really awesome guests such as maki and asuka, the designers of Angelic Pretty. Though I am really sad that I do not have a teaparty ticket so I will probably not get to meet them. Well at least I will get to meet a bunch of lovely lolitas!

Cali Vacation: Meeting online friends

Pictures from my second day in California, both me and my dear friend Reba that I was staying with wore Toy Drops and I finally got to meet Desiree and Claudia! It really felt unreal to finally meet these amazing girls, they were all so nice and sweet. I will never forget the first day I met you guys.

We went to a store called Tamaya that was filled with cute san-x thing! I bought a bunch of stuff there! Mostly stuff with my favorite characters, Sumikko Gurashi.

We also went to a japanese food store where we got some snacks and then to Daiso that is kinda like a Japanese dollar store.

Later we went to get some Pho, the food was good but the people who worked there were super rude and asked if it was halloween and took not so sneaky sneak photos. We complained to the manager and got 10% of our food. All in all it was a really lovely day and I got a bunch of cute gifts from my sweet friends!
