Baby The Stars Shine Bright: Twinkle Fairy

I really love Btssb's lovely dreamy dress Twinkle Fairy. It reminds me of Cinderella, like its right out of a disney movie. The fabric on the blue version has such amazing shimmer almost looking a bit like holo fabric. The style of overlay really suits the style and doesn't look just thrown on there since it has a nice shape, edges with trim and the cute front ribbon. 

A nice thing about Btssb dresses is that you can remove and change around most big details which makes the dress a lot more versatile. As you can see above here the dress look can be worn really casual without any of the extras and still look really pretty. The pink colorway also looks really nice and soft, its a really good shade for the style. 

 I've always liked Baby for their really nice cuts and detailing and this dress fits into that. I also like that they have lots and lots of photos so you really can see what it looks like. The coord with the blue dress looks amazing, great showcase of how you can style the dress. Trying to keep my eye on other brands than Angelic Pretty.

Angelic Pretty: Winter Coat Collection 2016

Angelic Pretty has released a bunch of new winter coats. There are many different styles of lolita winter coats. A lot depends on what cut of dresses you prefer.

 

I think the Milky Dream coat is really cute. I'm a big fan of scallops, its super cute but not too much details on it. The waist is pretty high but it should suit most basic AP dresses.

While the Victoria coat has nice fabric the cut is a bit off I think. Having the length just be slightly shorter than the dress makes it look like its too small and doesn't fit right. I think it could work with more casual shorter dresses but I don't think its worth the high price for that.

The Bear coat is cute and the cut works great if you want it to be more form fitting. Though think about that it wont look good with high waist dresses. These long coats really need a good petticoat under to look good. Otherwise they can look kinda floppy. This also comes in a pink colorway that is adorable.

The coat to the right is really cute and would work with various dress styles.  It comes in a gorgeous antique pink colorway with white faux fur. The only thing that could be a problem is that its probably a very heavy coat to wear and also I think its kinda boring that it covers the whole dress. If you hang out with your lolita friends outside it can feel like you are wearing the same thing all the time.

The Bunny poncho coat is cute but I think its really personal preference if you like that type of coat or not. On the plus side it wont feel tight or uncomfortable!

The Classic coat is really not my style it comes in two shades of brown, red, white and black. I just don't like it to be honest.

These two coats are really more my style. I like the shorter coats because they show of your dress and are not as heavy as the longer coats. Both of these are really adorable and I would generally recommend this type of coat.

It's really nice having a warm coat that fits well over your lolita clothes. It's really cold here so I'm happy I have my lavender bunny coat to wear this winter.

Angelic Pretty: Diner Doll

Finally Angelic Pretty's print 'Diner Doll' will be released and it is so incredibly cute! I feel like the stock photos above don't even do it justice I mean just look at the print on the picture bellow. I mean there is just so much adorable things, I think this might be my favorite print from this season! Though the cuts are a bit simple and could be better so not sure it's my favorite dress, but might be. I want the jsk in mint so badly I just have to figure out how to afford it. The icecream, cakes, donuts, milkshakes and everything is just too cute. I need this in my life.

Angelic Pretty: 15th Anniversary Premium Dress

These dresses that Angelic Pretty designed are just straight out gorgeous. I said when I talked about them before that I thought they would be expensive but wow that's even more than I would of guessed. I think Antoinette Princess is my favorite of the four but wow that is so far past what I would or could pay for a dress. Though its not for nothing, the detailing on these dresses are amazing. So I bet just the cost of making them is pretty high. Both for labor and materials. I'm still happy they made them because they are just so pretty to look at!

Angelic Pretty: 17 Upcoming Releases! (extended guide)

Here is a guide to the upcoming prints from Angelic Pretty. I think there is a lot of cute stuff and I'm happy that spring is coming. The more I see of the new collection the more I like it. Aquarium Carnival

The marine theme has been really popular so there is no wonder that there is more coming along now. This one features dolphins and I can't recall them doing that before so extra points for being more original. I'm not sure about how to wear the off the shoulder type cut but the rest of the design looks really cute. I wonder what other colorways it will come in.

Antoinette Decoration

I think this dress is amazing and I totally love it! It reminds me a lot of Scarlet Primavera but with less flowers. Though same as that dress I would guess that the pricetag is around 100k yen. One day it will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine. *dreaming*

Antoinette Princess

They made quite a few really frilly dresses. I have always seen Angelic Pretty as the best for prints and Baby the stars shine bright the best for frilly princess type dresses but I think Angelic Pretty are putting in some heavy competition on this. I think the colorway really suits the Antoinette type aesthetic and it just looks really wonderful. Anyone would feel like royalty in this dress.

Eternal Carnival

Carousels is Maki's favorite motif so they always come with new carnival prints every year. This one looks really cute, I hope its not as pale as these pictures make it look. Also yes give me more pony bags!! 

Harlequinade Ballet

There are now more clear pictures and I think this print is really cute, the hats are kinda wonky though. I love the contrasting colors on the pink x sax colorway! Its will be cool to see a wide variation of coords with this dress,

Holy Lacey Doll

Another pretty non print dress, its nothing special but it still looks really cute. Not much more to say.

Holy Theater

It's hard to completely make out what there is in the print, but there seems to be some cute lams. Not a big fan of the veils and sheer overlays but there seems to be a variation of cuts. I hope the other colorways are more interesting though.

Jewel Marine

This dress just looks adorable, The print is really sweet and I love the big pink ribbon. The cuts are quite different from each other offering good options and they seem to have really nice detailing. The marine theme is still going strong so I'm sure it will be popular! 

Rose Princess

This dress just goes overboard with frills frills frills. To bad there is not a good picture of her standing with the dress, it looks pretty long. The different shades of pink look really cute together, I think it gives it a Antoinette x Barbie look. And it will be cool to see more of the other colorway too.

Magical Princess

I think this print is really cute, it reminds me of the castles that you have with magic sand! I hope the print isn't as pale as in these pictures. I wonder what more colors there will be. I think blue would look really pretty.

Baked Sweets Parade

I just love donuts, so this is really cute to me. I like that the print is in better scale. The mint colorway is really pretty.

Cecilia Cross

I'm just really tired of the religious symbols and the virgin mary style with veils and such. And I don't really like overlays, it being longer than the dress just makes it worse. The jsk without the overlay is pretty cute.

Strawberry Garland

There is no surprise that there are two new berry prints since berry prints are Asuka's favorite motif. The strawberries look so cute, and the frills on it are so pretty.

Wrapping Cherry

This is a simple but very cute design its like a mix of wrapping ribbon and drained cherry. It would suit otome and more casual styles. The heart bag is also super cute.

Charlotte's Bear

This is the special Imai Kira collab that they had for reservation at the big teaparty with the fashion show. I think its really cute as always. The scale of the print is really cute. I think it can be coorded in many different ways, both sweet and more classic

Maria Rose

Another really pretty and layered non print dress, its somewhere in between the others. Not super ott but also not too simple. It looks really balanced and pretty.

Melty Sky

Another sky type print. It really resembles Dream Sky, which is not a bad thing. Its a much better design than Misty Sky that they recently released. Also the stripe star bag looks really cute! I like the pink colorway a lot because it has a lot of other contrasting colors and the pink shoes with blue bows are adorable.

Angelic Pretty x Disney Collections

Angelic Pretty has done quite a few collaborations with Disney thru the years and I wanted to make this post to show you some of them! The most popular motif has been Alice in wonderland but there has also been some with Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck and Disney princesses. 

2012 Angelic Pretty released this print for the 110th Disney Anniversary. I really love Alice in wonderland and its pretty cute that they used the characters so straight off but I wish that they would of done something more with the boarder print, I feel like the characters are really just slapped on there because there is nothing to frame them in. I think there just could of been more details, like have a bit more fun with it. The cut is very simple for the pricetag, it looks like special set/lucky pack quality. The sax colorway is really cute, I like the pink detailing. The white colorway just looks really cheap, I think its the black lace on a white dress that is the worst. Its really a too simple and plain print to work in a white colorway, I think red could of been better.

This is an other Alice in wonderland dress that they released. I think this one is much better. It looks more like a typical Angelic Pretty dress, it has the details that the other one lacked and the colors are more subtle. It has a nice boarder in a good scale to the rest of dress. The cuts are really cute too, I would probably take off the apron though. The sax color feels the cutest because it looks more like a Alice dress. All in all super cute.

They also made this cute dress, its a pretty simple cut without a boarder print. I think the whole set would be cute together. The beret is really cute too. It's a simple dress but it is also is much cheaper than other lolita dresses! 

I love this cute collection with Minnie and Daisy, the illustrations are so amazing and they did a great job making that unicorn illustration into a plush bag. I have that unicorn bag and I love it, makes any outfit more cute! I love AP doing more casual things in collabs is cool too. I would love the backpack.

They also made a special set of things with Rapunzel from the movie Tangled, the print is called dreamy luna! It has pictures of  Rapunzel and the rest of the print is a sky with clouds and the floating lights from the movie. I really like this set, its like an other version of dream sky. 

They also made this really pretty dress with classic disney princesses, I love all the colors in the print and it looks really magical, the tote and cape are not so interesting but the dress is just super cute. It really just goes together, the ribbon in the front is cute too.

I think its really fun when different brands make collaborations because it can bring out the best of two worlds. I hope they do more in the future! Since I love both Angelic Pretty and Disney. ~

Angelic Pretty: Lady Christine

Fresh new on the Angelic Pretty online store is the 'Lady Christine' OP. It has a lovely princess feel that I more often expect from btssb. That said I really like it. They also released a matching bonnet, and you all know I love my bonnets. If you want this dress it will set you back 47,304 yen +10,584 yen for the bonnet. What do you all think of this dress? Lacemonster or perfect princess? I like the fancy princess sleeve OP's but I find them kinda boring to coord.
