Lolita Coording Guide [1]

A lot of Lolitas fall into the habit of wearing the set and just sticking to that same cookie cutter outfit. But there is so much more you can do to make your dress feel more versatile. I'm going to show a bunch of ways how to coord this same dress, in this post I will keep it simple with two color coords. When deciding what color to have with your print dress first look at what colors it has in the print. Toy Parade has mint, pink, lavender and yellow in the print. This makes it very easy to coord with those colors as you can see on the picture below. When the bag, socks and blouse have the same color the coord will look balanced. And I think the color that contrasts to the dress looks much more interesting than just wearing a white blouse.

Angelic Pretty: Merry Bunny

I posted about this dress a few weeks ago and thought it looked cute so I'm happy I can see it properly now! I think this is really cute and goes with the season.

Print

This is really a Christmas print, which is nice in December but can feel out of place the rest of the year. It reminds me a lot of toy march and holy night story, I feel like if you have one Christmas print why do you even need an other one? I think its funny that they got the plushes pants in this one, people commented a lot on the lack of pants on toy march.They are cute and all but I think they look dead inside. I think the print over the boarder is really lazy, its pretty boring and I think the scale should of been bigger because the scale of the boarder is pretty big. The colorways are pretty nice though.

The cuts

I think they are okay, they could be better. The op is pretty cute but that type of op doesn't leave much room for creative coording. The marching band style top is cute on the op but I don't like the weird line down the middle on the jsk. also the part on the hip on the jsk is just kinda weird. The top would be better in the style of holy night story. I don't really like the salopette, its in that weird not full length and still not casually short. And the print looks like it barely fits on there.

I think its kinda okay, there are many older Christmas prints that I would rather have. So I give this print a 2/5 cookie hearts

New release from AP, a really but stylish OP. This time my favorite is the black one actually! I think it could be coorded so nicely! I think the embroidered text on the bow is really cute. What do you think of it?

Angelic Pretty: Lady Christine

Fresh new on the Angelic Pretty online store is the 'Lady Christine' OP. It has a lovely princess feel that I more often expect from btssb. That said I really like it. They also released a matching bonnet, and you all know I love my bonnets. If you want this dress it will set you back 47,304 yen +10,584 yen for the bonnet. What do you all think of this dress? Lacemonster or perfect princess? I like the fancy princess sleeve OP's but I find them kinda boring to coord.

Angelic Pretty: New store in Kyoto!

Angelic Pretty recently opened a new store and its just as cute as all their other ones!! Wanted to share the pictures with you because its just so cute. I wish my bedroom looked like this, heck I wish my whole apartment look like this!! (With all the dresses too ofc!)

New Junie Moon x Angelic Pretty collab doll outfits

Angelic Pretty are releasing a new set of doll outfits in collaboration with Junie Moon. There will be two dolls wearing crystal dream carnival and two with melody toys. Since I have the mint Melody Toys I'm feeling the wants! Just wish I had a doll to wear them.

Preppy Cute (x Barbie)

More cute Barbie clothes for the laforet Barbie event. The two top ones are by Dolly & Molly, the bottom dress is from OLIVE des OLIVE and the barbiedoll is by la belle Etude. I totally love the DM dresses, they would both be super cute for just casual outfits, the top left one is my favorite of the bunch! The dress for the Barbie doll is really adorable too.

Baby the Stars Shine Bright x Barbie

Lots of entries in the Barbie trend, lolita brand Baby the Stars Shine Bright will be releasing a Barbie with lolita clothes for the Barbie in Laforet event. For only 12 000 yen this lolita Barbie can be yours if you can actually get to laforet. The event will take place 7 Feb to 1 Mar. 20 brands will be doing collaborations with Barbie.  I think the dress is really cute, can I have the same in people size please?

Trend: Moschino Barbie Look

Spring is coming so I will be posting my favorites from spring/summer fashion shows and some trends that I've been seeing. Starting with my favorite collection: Moschino. They have really went for doing their own thing and the Barbie look they went for is amazing! With stunning colors and all around just really fun and happy! If I could pick any item from this collection it would be the pink knitted sweather dress with the Moschino logo in Barbie style font all over it. I'm in love. 

There is really whimsy and joy all throughout the fashion show! Designer of this collection Jeremy Scott was quoted as saying  "Like every girl and gay boy, I loved Barbie,". The big blonde wigs and bubblegum pink lipstick really adds to the barbie feel. I really hope this catches on so that cheaper chains will pick up the trend of the barbie style.

Amazing collection with lots of colors and creative cuts, there is a lot of variation. My favorite ones are the pink but there was much of other neon colors also! I'm going to try and do some coords with items from this collection but also try and do cheaper options that still has the barbie feel to it. This collection is so inspiring.

10 New Angelic Pretty prints coming in spring~

 Angelic Pretty recently had a fashion show where they showed their full spring collection, many pictures are popping up here and there, from leaked photos to Kera magazines. I though I would make a guide just in case you've missed anything!

1. Parfum

New dress with print designed by Imai Kira, this is a special preorder only dress just like cats teaparty was! It looks amazing and I look forward to seeing people wearing it.

2. Milky Cross

This cross themed print with chiffon overlay is looking stunning. It will be coming out this weekend so gogogo contact your shopping service.

3. Dolly Cat

Good news for you cat lovers! AP will be releasing this cute dress with kittens on it, I really love the purple ribbons on the pink colorway. I wonder what color the ribbons will be on other colorways, it will be cool to see.

4. Wrapping Heart

Print with adorable gift boxes, looking forward to this one!

5. Melty Berry Princess

A new gorgeous strawberry print from Angelic Pretty, seems like they are also releasing a new version of the popular strawberry bag (and there will be and other dress to match my old strawberry bag with!). Mostly rooting for the white colorway, but all red could also be super cute.

 6. Cherry Marguerite 

 Another berry print but this one seems to be more cherries, the colorways look interesting but people are kinda confused of how crosses fit into this theme, just getting into a trend or do we maybe not see the full picture? Exited to see the gingham blouses though!

7. Mirage Castle

Recently these pictures came up from a issue of Kera. A dreamy princess sleeve OP with a matching aristocrat set. I hope the will be selling a boy style set with this and not just have it for the fashion show. I wonder what other colorways it will come in, darker or pastel?

8. Dream Marine

Stunning seashell themed dress, no really clear pictures of this but the cuts of it are looking stunning. The OP has a chiffon overlay and there seems to be a jsk with layers, both super cute.

9. Salon de the' Rose

Another princess sleeve OP, this one with a lovely cake print. It has a pretty sweet/classic feel and I think it would look amazing in mint or sax.

10. Belle Epouqe Rose

There are no clear pictures of this dress yet but it seems to have rocking horses maybe? roses? I guess we will have to wait and see!

Keep Calm and Acquire Brand

Hello! Mint here.
In the years since I started to dress in lolita I have accumulated quite a lot of lolita clothes. I'ts really nice when you start to feel that you can wear lolita every day without it feeling like you wear the same thing every day. I scavenge around the internet looking for the items I want and looking for them in good prices.

I'm really proud of my collection!

Love every single dress I buy. Trying to work in some more colors just bought a red french cafe and a lavender candy treat. Still waiting for them to get here (also waiting for my milky planet in sax~~).

 I've worked a lot of extra shifts to be able to buy some new lolita dresses, haven't bought any new lolita dresses in months, spent most of my money on my trip to London a few months ago.

OH, and PS, I changed the color of the text since someone complained about it being hard to read.
