Twining in Happy Garden

sweet lolita fashion kawaii cute

My friend Saltje is here twining all the way from Belgium! I'm showing her around Stockholm and today we decided to twin in Happy Garden. We don't have the same cut or color but we both matched with pink and we have the same hairstyle and socks so I still think we matched very nicely. We went to Vasamuseet and Fotografiska today. We also walked thru Gamla Stan and checked out some second hand shops. Doing some more adventuring tomorrow too! It's so awesome meeting lolita friends from other countries.

Lolita Coording Guide [2]

Continuing on coording with Angelic Pretty's dress Toy Parade (first part here!). Here are some simple ways to turn it into a three color coord. I think the most simple way to spread the colors evenly is to make the shoes and bag the same color and then have the blouse and socks be the same, as you can see in my examples. I think this really makes the coord stand out, I love doing three color coords! We are still sticking to the colors that are in the palette from the print. Getting a new set of blouse and socks in the same color can give you so many new coording options for a relatively cheap price tag. This is an other reason that I prefer to have a jsk instead of the op, it just leaves you with so many more options.

Try finding more accessories in the color palette that you have picked and try to spread out the colors as well as you can. Like having the lavender rosette pin on the top of the jsk makes a world of difference, this one is from EyeCandy. I think coording with yellow and lavender like bellow makes for a really interesting coord!

Lolita Coording Guide [1]

angelic pretty toy parade coord lolita fashion

A lot of Lolitas fall into the habit of wearing the set and just sticking to that same cookie cutter outfit. But there is so much more you can do to make your dress feel more versatile. I'm going to show a bunch of ways how to coord this same dress, in this post I will keep it simple with two color coords. When deciding what color to have with your print dress first look at what colors it has in the print. Toy Parade has mint, pink, lavender and yellow in the print. This makes it very easy to coord with those colors as you can see on the picture below. When the bag, socks and blouse have the same color the coord will look balanced. And I think the color that contrasts to the dress looks much more interesting than just wearing a white blouse.

Keep Calm and Acquire Brand

Hello! Mint here.
In the years since I started to dress in lolita I have accumulated quite a lot of lolita clothes. I'ts really nice when you start to feel that you can wear lolita every day without it feeling like you wear the same thing every day. I scavenge around the internet looking for the items I want and looking for them in good prices.

I'm really proud of my collection!

Love every single dress I buy. Trying to work in some more colors just bought a red french cafe and a lavender candy treat. Still waiting for them to get here (also waiting for my milky planet in sax~~).

I've worked a lot of extra shifts to be able to buy some new lolita dresses, haven't bought any new lolita dresses in months, spent most of my money on my trip to London a few months ago.

OH, and PS, I changed the color of the text since someone complained about it being hard to read.

Angelic Pretty Toy Parade OP review

I just ordered the Toy Parade OP in mint from Angelic Pretty's overseas shop. So I thought Id do a review of it. :)

The overseas page is easy to navigate, its simple to calculate the shipping fee and nothing makes it a hassle. The only pay method available is Paypal, which is just fine by me since its a simple way to pay. There was always status information on the payment being confirmed and later on the tracking number for the package. They send the package with EMS so it arrived later the same week after being sent. I was unlucky and got insane customs fee's. But not much to do about that.

The dress arrived in a pink soft plastic package. Inside the dress was in a plastic dress cover and on a black hanger. There was also a pink Angelic Pretty plastic bag folded up in the package. Aside from folding marks, the dress was in perfect condition and just amazingly lovely, as always from AP.

The dress is really cute! The print is perfectly cute and clear, the main colour of the dress was more bright than I expected, which I only think is a good thing. Its a really pop looking bright coloured dress that stands out. Considering size I would advice caution, as it has no shirring whatsoever and if one is a little to big it would be really uncomfortable around the neck as I can easily see it being a bit snug around there. Luckily it fit me like a glove, but one centimetre less and Id be in trouble!

I hope this has been helpful for people thinking about ordering! :)
