Brand Feature: Listen Flavor

mintyfrills, cute, fashion, pastel, clothes, online shop,

Listen Flavor is really cute Japanese clothing brand that does lots of comfy casual clothes perfect for Fairy Kei, Yume Kei or any other pastel based fashion style! (They also have lots of black clothes too that are super cool if you are more into that!) They make adorable prints, some of their own and some collaborations with others, like Sanrio for example. They have both simple printed t-shirts and oversized cute sweaters with sailor collars.

I just love their designs so much and they are really comfy. On top of that its a pretty affordable brand, of course you will have to pay shipping and customs fees as always though. They have pants, skirts, dresses, sweaters and anything else you would need. You could build your whole wardrobe from this brand only.

Fashion Valentine: Tabby

mintyfrills kawaii fairy kei sweet cute harajuku

This weeks fashion valentine is handsome and colorful Tabby! I used to be super into decora for years years when I was a teen. Still really love all the colors and bunches of accessories which I think shows in my lolita fashion. I love his super colorful outfits, this kind of style always makes me so happy! Go follow him on instagram!

mintyfrills kawaii fairy kei sweet cute harajuku

This outfit is just so super happy and playful! Even in the color chaos he still manages to balance it really well! I love that the shoes matches the sweater and wow do I love the sweater! All the colors in this outfit are so amazing. The backpack is adorable, that's my favorite shade of pink actually! Its just a weird coincident that I also used to have a cydaquil attached to my decora outfits back in the days. I want to bring more colors like this into lolita. I already try to always have contrasting colors.

Tabby also looks adorable in more pastel and cute fairy kei outfits. These outfits look so comfortable and just suits him really well! I wish I had that milklim cotton candy sweater in the same color and I am so jealous of that 6%DOKIDOKI skirt! (The perfect fairy kei skirt btw, just so you know). Those pink glasses really suit him also.

I like this outfit a lot because it really had that 'Spank!' type fairy kei. The jean overalls with pins makes it feel really cute and retro. I wish I would see more of this style generally!

This outfit manages to look simple, really polished and still adorably quirky. I love the 6%DOKIDOKI accessories matching the tights. The shoes match the shirt and the pants matches the hair. This is just so perfectly color balanced and thought thru, yet still it looks effortless.

Tabby just has a great sense of fashion for matching crazy colors adorably. I always love seeing his outfits and they make me want to throw in some more fun into my outfits! Keep up doing what you do, I hope we will meet one day!

Mam Maxicimam: Bonbon Chocolat

mintyfrills kawaii harajuku sweet lolita fashion cute dress

Happy with again finding the wonderful silliness that is Mam Maxicimam I wanted to review another of their quirky dresses! First let me just say that yes their stock photos with faces are really creepy and twilight zone looking. It's like its going to come to life and kill you while being cute and giggling, but enough about the future nightmares I will have! I think the chocolate colorway is weird because the colors don't really suit the style of the dress. The pink and lavender combo is perfect for this style though! It has that fun harajuku fairy kei aesthetic. I feel this is the brand for the girl who just likes cute fashion and doesn't take lolita super seriously. Their quality isn't quite as high as btssb or AP but neither are their prices. It's nice that not all the brands do the same kind of thing. They make fun stuff and I would love to own some of their dresses!

Brand Feature: Nile Perch

mintyfrills kawaii cute lolita fashion sweet harajuku

One of my favorite brands is Nile Perch, they make super cute clothes in fairy kei style. Their clothes are more casual than the lolita style so its perfect for a more casual style. Their look is very retro and sweet. I went to their shop when I was in Harajuku and it looks so adorable, I wish my bedroom looked like this!

Their aesthetic is very childish and soft. I think it really suits larme and fairy kei. Sadly their clothes can be quite expensive, I would recommend finding them second hand on closet child or japanese auction sites!

All their items are so perfectly adorable, be sure to check out their shop there is so much cute things there. A lot of their items work well with sweet lolita also.

Mam Maxicimam: Rainbow-colored sky of sweet

mintyfrills cute kawaii harajuku rainbow fairy keimintyfrills cute kawaii harajuku rainbow fairy kei

Honestly I had almost forgot about Mam Maxicimam and then I saw wonderfully quirky dress! The finish and the lace is nowhere near the quality of an AP dress but there is still something about it! I love the sharp contrasts and the colors look really cute together. The frilly part on the bodice actually makes it really balanced. I think this would be perfect for a more fairy kei inspired outfit. I want to wear it with bunches of cute accessories and really kawaii style hair and make-up. I like the shape of the skirt too it feels really poofy. All in all I would say I really like this dress.

Fashion Valentine: Pastel Raindrops

mintyfrills kawaii cute fashion valentine harajuku
Long back before I started lolita, I was really into the style fairy-kei and one of my biggest inspirations was Mio aka Pastel Raindrops. Thats why I want to make her my fashion valentine this week. Even though Mio has left the fashion and moved on her old outfit photos still inspire me. I've never seen anyone else coord Lolita items so casually and still make it look amazing and like a whole other fashion style. You can check out her blog, it has lots of nice photos and diy tutorials!

mintyfrills kawaii cute fashion valentine harajuku
I love these two outfits so much, they look so soft and comfortable! I really want to try and mix lolita skirts with t-shirts and sneakers more.  Since I wear pastel fashion most days I leave the house I just love her style of looking both comfortable and stunningly cute at the same time.

Her style is really recognizable, I love to see the different ways she combines the pieces in her closet. I'm going to try to do more fairy-kei in this type of stlye.

Even though she isn't into the pastel fashion any more I still thinks she looks super fabulous in any style. Thank you for being such a huge inspiration to me. I hope you are doing well and keep being creative.

Fashion Valentine: Caspian

This weeks fashion valentine is Caspian, the Prince of pastels. He dresses in adorable pastel fairy kei outfits that I simply love! The mix of cool piercings and soft colors makes a really interesting look. Caspian also does really nice youtube videos, be sure to go follow his channel! He also posts outfits on his instagram.

Everything on the outfit is in pastels. The cut of the jacket is more in a tough style but when its in pastels with cute motifs on the back its just super cute. I think more people should wear pants with this kind of style, I wish more boys dared wear pastel colors. And the #boy sweater is awesome! I really like his new shorter hair, it suits him so well.

With sticking to the same pallet he really has his own style of fairy kei and looks super cool in it. The pastel colored hair really adds to the outfit.

I love seeing his outfits and he is also super friendly, I hope to meet him someday. I hope he keeps posting his amazing pastel outfits, it inspires me to do more boystyle in pastel colors.

Drawing Cute People [2]

drawing cute people pastel fashion

I'm really happy with how this one turned out, Its just super pastel. I changed some things to have less details and more color. I wanted the background to have a pastel 80's feel, its okay but I think I can do better next time! I draw with a wacom bamboo fun tablet in photoshop. I love drawing people in alternative styles.

Fashion Valentine: Melty

Fashion valentine mintyfrills cute

This weeks valentine is my dear friend Melty, also known as Meltychocolatemoon. She really has her own sense of style, I love her magical girl outfits. She just gets that little extra to make it really magic. It also helps that Melty is really crafty and makes her own accessories that she also sells in her storenvy and at events. She is a dear friend that I have known for 7 years. Go follow her on Instagram and Tumblr!

Fashion valentine mintyfrills cute

This is an outfit that Melty wore for a j-fashion show at NärCon last summer, I managed to take this nice photo of it! I just think she makes everything work. The shoes are not typical lolita shoes but the look just perfect with this outfit, it balances out with the Disney hat the she also has decorated a lot. Just all together a really good magical girl outfit.

Fashion valentine mintyfrills cuteFashion valentine mintyfrills cute

Melty dresses in many different styles this one is a bit cult party kei inspired. She looks a bit like a forest spirit. The makeup is just stunning too, so much effort and details put into it.

Fashion valentine mintyfrills cute

She also does really nice lolita outfits, its simple and balanced but I still think she has her own style. Often opting for printed tights instead of socks, which is becoming a bigger trend since brands started making printed tights. The wig also looks really good on her.

Fashion valentine mintyfrills cute

Even for more casual looks she looks super cute! This looks really comfortable also.

Fashion valentine mintyfrills cute

This photo is from her super cute bedroom, Yet another pretty magical girl outfit! This one has a bit of a mermaid style that I really think suits her. Melty is just really creative and keeps getting better and better. I look forward to seeing more outfits from her in the future.~
