Cheval de Bois: Lemon Garden

Taobao brand Cheval de Bois are releasing this refreshing summer print called 'Lemon Garden'. I like the print, the color scale is really nice with the pale green in it. The design is nice and doesn't feel like a copy of something else. I like both the cuts, the jsk is pretty basic but had some nice details on the bust and a nice white trim on the bottom. The bodice of the OP is really nice. I like the frill and ribbons. If their sleeves has good stretch I think it would be really comfortable. I've been trying to add some more yellow to my closet, I think its a very underrated color in Lolita fashion.

I love the wide selection of headpieces available to match. The bonnet looks adorable but maybe a bit too sweet for this style of dress, but could work with the right coord. The frilly veil is nice and this type of pieces had been more popular lately. I think my favorite is the white more flat hat. It goes best with the aesthetic of this dress.

I like the matching accessories they have for it, I think some people miss having the set like in the Japanese brand releases so its good that its available for people who like to have the cookie cutter set. Some of these are so nice I would want them even if I don't have the dress.

Angelic Pretty: 6 New Upcoming Prints!

I know I already made a post about upcoming prints but since many of them have been released and there are new pictures of some and also some all new announced since then I though I would make a new post!

Antique Chocolaterie

I'n my last post I said that I was wondering what colorways it would be released in since then there was only pictures of the turquoise one. I probably would not of guessed these colors, even though its not colors I really wear I do think it looks pretty. I look forward to seeing others make coords with it!

Cirque de L'etoile

I stick with what I said before, it looks like a mix of Star Night Theater and British Bear! This is also a very pretty but not my style print. I love the type of themed coords others do with this kind of print though. Its lovely dress suitable for the fall season.

Magic Amulet

This is an interesting print coming from Angelic Pretty. I really love the lavender colorway and I know a lot of girls who will really love it! I kinda feel like the are forcing in that shade of turquoise in their fall collection and its been pretty with some of the prints but I just don't get it with this style. I think the OP works well with the creepy cute kind of aesthetic, I'm weary of long sleeve OP's due to fit issues but this looks like it could be pretty comfortable. I don't like the jsk, I think it looks a bit cheap and the cross on the front is just overkill.

Dressy Time

This just looks like an amazing piece but it will probably be in the price range of their anniversary dresses. The kind of dress I would love to own but it will just cost way more than I would one to pay for one dress. The flower headpiece also looks adorable. Frills, frills and more frills.

Rose Museum

This dress looks really lovely, it really falls more into the classic style than typical Angelic Pretty. The pink colorway looks really dainty and sweet. Don't know about the blue/lavender one, I'm waiting until there are more clear pictures of the print to make my judgement.

Heavenly Cross

Another pretty basic print. It feels like a mix of Milky Cross and Shadow Carnival. Even though the dress is cute a lot of people are getting tired of crosses on everything since some take issue with wearing a religious symbol. Its a bit of a culture clash since the cross doesn't have the same important meaning in japan, Its more used for the aesthetic.

Looking forward to more releases, they seem to be rolling out more and more all the time!

Outfit: Sugary Spring Happy Garden

I wanted to do a really sweet outfit and thought I hadn't worn this dress in a while! I really love Happy Garden, its such a super cute print. I know a lot of people don't like the highwaisted cuts but I think they suit me.

Outfit rundown:

Dress, cutsew, shoes, bag, socks, hair bows, bow bracelet, rings: Angelic Pretty

Wig: Dream Holic

I ended up changing out the necklaces to an other one I made in paler colors. I also changed the shoes since my Angelic Pretty ones need to be fixed! (The bottom of them is coming off) I also added some pink bows to the front of the dress which I really think pulls the look together. Even though this is an easter themed print I don't want to limit myself to just wearing it for easter. Its a cute dress with cute bun buns for any time of the year!

I did really cute and sweet makeup, its been a long time since I wore both circle lenses and a wig! I love this wig, the colors are so cute. I've been making these star clips that I really like, I want to make more of them, maybe some to sell?

Avenue Denfer: Whale & Corsair

Taobao brand Avenue Denfer released this new print Whale & Corsair. I made the collage above to show off this cute dress. I actually really like this print! The marine theme has been really popular this still feels original. The print is detailed without being messy, the whales are so adorable. 

The jsk has a nice cut, its a simple and basic cut for a sweet lolita dress but its really well made one. The quality looks nice and it seems to have good lace also. I'm not a huge fan of lolita skirts, this one has a good shape but nothing interesting. There is nothing really wrong with the salopette, its the same kind Angelic Pretty has been making lately. Its just that it is too long for a short skirt and just comes out as a regular lolita skirt that is too short.

All in all I really like this dress and I would love to have the jsk in the light blue color! I also love the illustrations of girls wearing the dresses, I always find those very inspiring!

Angelic Pretty: Astro Regimen

Angelic Pretty is now releasing Astro Regimen, a mix between space and military themes and it is actually really working. Aside from the quite bad red colorway I actually really like this! I think what makes it is the interesting cuts and how they chose to use the print fabric. They have done many OP's in this style and I think it works nicely with this print. The jsk on the left looks basic at first but still has some interesting details. Like the pentagram straps on the back, its an interesting idea and I wonder how people will work it into coords. The jacket and skirt set is pretty cool, haven't seen them do this with print fabric any time recently.

But by far my favorite is the jsk on the right. The bodice is as simple as it needs to be to not take over from the fabulousness of the rest of the dress. It looks amazing how the printed fabric folds to the side to reveal the tierd skirt under it with fantastic color combo on the fabric and lace. I love that the didn't just let the fabric hang, its folded and sown into place. They made such great choices with how to line the print with the cut of the dress. Its just a really fabulous design and more of this please.

Angelic Pretty: Princess Cat

Who run the world? CATS! Angelic Pretty is now releasing their new print Princess Cat! As I said in my initial reaction this is a print with cats in tophats, this is great. These cats be stylin'. I love the whimsy of this print, its quite refreshing. The dark turquoise color might be hard to coord if you have a sweet pastel wardrobe, but really at least its easier to coord than the "mint" Diner Doll (omg is it blue or is it mint? cause it matches with neither of those colors).  With the general aesthetics and colorways of the pink and lavender it reminds me of a crossover between dolly cat and cinema doll. The OP looks really classy and I like the design of the back a lot! I still don't get the sheer overlay, but its looks highly optional so I guess it's fine. The tiered jsk is the standout for me, I actually really like the design, the tiers make since for this print and actually accentuates it (unlike the tiers on Romantic Little Garden). I love the double layered trim in the bottom, the black layer really balances out the black ribbons on the bodice. I like all the colorways accept for the red one, I would love the jsk in any of the other three colors!

Angelic Pretty: Dolly Dot

Cute and simple new print from Angelic Pretty called Dolly Dot. A more simple print like this is a nice change up but the execution could of been better. The OP is really cute but I know a lot of people wont fit into that type of cut. I wish the jsk had the same lace as the OP. The thin black tule looks kinda cheap. Kinda iffy about the pockets, I feel like they should of been accented more, like some more kind of trimming or ribbon. The skirt is pretty basic but looks like it would be nice for more casual looks. My favorite colorway for this is the lavender.
