MOSCHINO [tv] H&M: Collab Collection!

I'm a big fan of Moschino so I was really excited when I heard about their collab with H&M! This isn't the Barbie or My Little Pony collections I love Moschino for but it still has some really nice pieces. This cool collection will be dropping tomorrow morning! (8/Nov) Check out the collection here.~

 I think the various long sweater dresses are my favorite pieces, The gold pieces look nice but its not really my kind taste. The denim look is pretty nice and the lock bags are also really cool too. But I really want some more color.

They had a runway fashion show that also included a bunch of items that were not in the H&M collection. The magenta faux fur coat looks even better on the runway.

Here are some more fun and colorful items, the long Minnie Mouse sweater dress is adorable and I also like the colorful skirt and boots. Feel like I could do some fun outfits with those! If you were wondering, the little bear is actually a phone case.

These are not even all the items that were in the collection, there were tons of options and really recommend you have a look! Some of the more simple items are pretty affordable if you like those ones! What do you think of this collection? Whats your favorite piece?

Brand Feature: Diamond Honey

Lately I've been browsing taobao a lot and wanted to share some of the taobao brands that I love! Starting with a brand called Diamond Honey. This brand has adorable original prints along with some really good blouses and cute tights. Their style is generally pretty sweet but there is still a lot of variation! Both supersweet pastels and more toned down almost otome type dresses. 

The Price is significantly lower than any Japanese lolita brand while still keeping a pretty good quality! Most of their dresses are in the $25-50 range. While they are available for purchase from some overseas online re-sellers, I would recommend buying directly from their own shop since the markup doubles the price. 

Their blouses come in many colors and are the style in the top left corner are very stretchy and comfy too! Definitely a great place to get some more color variation on blouses for a great price! 

They have a bunch of really cute tights, though I wish some of them would have a bit more saturated colors and have other base colors. I think the berry and bat ones are the best since you can see the print on those very clearly!

If you don't like the very sweet look they still have lots more so check them out and look for yourself! It's a lot more than I could show you in one blog post. All in all Diamond Honey is a great budget option for anyone looking for sweet lolita clothes.

Angelic Pretty: Candy Carol

The holidays are coming up soon and Angelic Pretty has released this festive dress called Candy Carol. It has an all over print with teddybears, wrapped gifts, treats and decorations!The print is cute but doesn't feel like anything special and the cuts are pretty basic too. I think you can probably do the most interesting outfits with the white jsk, by matching it with one of the colors from the print. Since I dislike making outfits with white it feels boring that the red and navy colorways seems to already have decided you should wear it with white.

All in all I don't really dislike this dress, its perfectly fine and has a cute print. Maybe it would be cuter with some candy cane striped ribbon details or some more box and frills of any kind? One thing I know is that this dress wont be on my wishlist.

Kammie always have such adorable and colorful outfits! For this one she is wearing an adorable and colorful sweater from Black Milk, the color scheme of this sweater feels a bit vaporwave and its such a great design. I think oversized sweaters with platform shoes always makes for a great look. And these cute ones from YRU look like they were made to match Kammie's rainbow hair. I previously made a Fashion Valentine post about KammiePomeranian and I'm always happy to see new outfits from her!

Misfortuneee put together this adorable Halloween outfit with the Magical Amulet OP from Angelic Pretty for a day at Disneyland lolitaday. I really like the cute bun hairstyle with this outfit and lavender colorways are always cute for Halloween. Misfortuneee seems to be loving this time of year and has even more really cute Halloween themed outfits already!

Katie recently posted this cute and preppy outfit and I adore it! No matter what style she decides to wear she always looks super cute and fancy. The grey preppy skirt from Bubbles has some pink stripes in it too, perfectly tying it together with the pale pink from the shoes from ankrouge and beret. The jacket from Emily Temple Cute jacket also has some pink details and the more tough look of it goes nicely with the black fishnets. This outfit just looks so neatly put together.

TheWickedPumpkin is looking like the fanciest witch at the teaparty in this outfit with Holy Lantern from Angelic Pretty. Holy Lantern is such a pretty dress and I like how she has some black accents for the outfit with the hat, shoes and stripes on the socks while still keeping the outfit mostly white. This outfit just looks so fancy and she is constantly posting outfits just as pretty!

Ai recently posted this lovely violin themed outfit with the Stradivarius Flare jsk from Innocent world in perfect fall colors. This outfit is just so perfectly put together! The bag, tights and shoes are all violin themed and match the brown details in the print. The white blouse ties together with the white frill underskirt and the beret matches with the wine color of the dress. She posts lots of really pretty lolita outfits.

Mintyfrills Outfit: Diner Doll

When I edit photos in photoshop I get a bit too into it and end up with this tacky mess of a background, but I love it!  

I recently wore this cute and colorful outfit with my Diner Doll dress from Angelic Pretty. I love how bright and sugary this print is and coording with 3 or more contrasting pastels is my favorite! 

 Diner Doll can be difficult to coordinate because barely any lolita accessories are that bright pink color. If I had a blouse the same shade as the bright pink details that is what I would love to coord this with. Also the colorway is supposed to be Mint but it really is in the no-mans-land between mint and blue, so unless I have the exact shade its going to be difficult to make an outfit with mint or blue. 

So instead I went with a yellow blouse from Metamorphose, it works better with the dress because the yellow in the print is more pale since its the cake and popcorn etc. I don't have any yellow shoes so matching with pink also felt like a good idea! 

Then at this point its pretty easy, since I have pink shoes yellow socks will contrast and pink tights to add more color. I usually try to match my shoes with my bag so my pink melty chocolate bag felt like it went well both in color and theme. At this point I had a bit too little pink on the top side so I went with one of my common fave tricks and used the waist ties from another dress to make a big bow knot on the blouse. 

I was picking between some different headbows and felt like this bonnet was best with the whole look. It has a yellow star on the side too which was a great match! Too get some yellow on my head I added these adorable little chicken clips I made for an easter outfit many years ago. It doesn't quite go with the theme, but they are adorable and the color was right! I also had a bow that was pretty close to the color of the dress which was just perfect! And since some people were asking me, I'm not wearing a wig! Its just my hair, I wore two braids overnight and put up part of my hair in high twin tails to get the volume!

Improved Outfits [2]: Color Coordination - 2 colors

 So in this post I want to talk a bit about how to put together outfits with two colors. Using the base color of the dress and a color picked from the colors in the print. To balance this type of color coordinate its often good to have shoes in the base color so that you then can wear socks in the accent color to get contrast from the shoes. If the socks or tights are the same color as the dress you end up lumping together the same color and it looks unbalanced. The socks being another color gives a space between the shoes and dress. The blouse will be in the accent color to again be contrasting the dress. most of the accessories too since we already have so much of the base color from the dress itself. wristcuffs in the base color can help break off again after the sleeves and you will probably want either a headbow, some additional bow in your hair, or have your hair be in the base color. Just so You get something of that color in the top section.

The Fantastic Horoscope outfit will look very different from the one with Horror Candy Shop. But since both dresses have the same accent colors in the print you can put together the outfit in the exact same way! Coordinating with the accent colors from a print will really make the colors in the print pop a lot more and really nicely compliment your main piece. Its a pretty easy way to figure out what colors would go nicely with a dress, even though you can usually pick any color you like. The important thing to think about is balancing the colors, so that you have all the colors in each section from top to bottom.

Coord: Cherry Soda

Put together another cute outfit! For this one I was a bit inspired by 50's diners. I started with the super cute jacket from Ayummy, a brand Japanese brand that has a vintage american aesthetic. I liked this coca-cola t-shirt with it and regular t-shirts can be made so much cuter with a high waist skirt. Diners make me think of neon signs so I thought the sunglasses from WC and clear bag from Flapper really give a neon look. Since I already had some red hearts I decided these red heels from Liz Lisa would be a great fit! These frilly black ankle socks from Angelic Pretty help balance the colors and I think dark hair with the red cap would complete this look.
